Carolyn Akins
Co-FounderCarolyn Akins brings more than 20 years of real estate experience and over $150 million in career sales to Akins & Long Property Management. A Nashville resident for more than 25 years, she has extensive knowledge of Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, and the surrounding communities.
Carolyn began her career in new construction sales before expanding her business to represent buyers, sellers, builders, and investors across a wide range of properties. In 2015, she founded Carolyn Akins Real Estate, built on her belief that exceptional service should be personal, responsive, knowledgeable, and centered around the client.
As both a real estate professional and longtime investment-property owner, Carolyn has personally managed rental properties and worked closely with HOAs, property managers, contractors, tenants, and vendors. Those experiences inspired Akins & Long Property Management and a commitment to providing the kind of management she would want for her own investments—responsive, proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in every property.
For Carolyn, property management is about more than managing a home. It’s about caring for someone’s investment as if it were her own.
Co-FounderParker Long
Parker Long brings more than 15 years of experience in customer success, account management, and business operations within the technology sector. A Tennessee native and Nashville resident for the past 15 years, Parker combines his business accounting degree from Middle Tennessee State University with strong financial oversight, practical problem-solving, and a service-focused approach.
He is passionate about Nashville and committed to making property ownership easier through responsive communication, thoughtful management, and careful attention to every detail. Parker believes every property should be treated as if it were his own and brings that mindset to each owner, resident, and home Akins Long Property Management serves.
Outside of work, Parker enjoys home improvement projects, spending time with family, and life with his dogs, Harper and Shiloh.
